Spam is defined as 'unsolicited commercial electronic messages', recent estimates put forward that between 60% and 80% of email sent is spam.
The billions of spam message sent by spammers every year is not only an inconvenience to the recipient spam also: disrupts the delivery of legitimate mail, wastes space on computer systems, reduces productivity, irritates users and is a waste of network bandwidth.
A high percentage of these spam emails contains material which is offensive or fraudulent, and is often used for the distribution of computer viruses to victims.

How can it be stopped?

How does it work? A small change it made to a customers DNS records for their domain after this change takes effect. All mail bound for the clients server first passes though our filtering service, where the mail is subject to a variety of tests any spam or virus infected emails are then put into a quarantine area where they are stored and the clean email is then forwarded to the clients normal email server.
Filtering spam in this manner is very efficient and easy to implement, the changes normally take full effect within 48 hours, during the transition no email is lost it just goes to the clients server as per normal. No changes are needed to the clients servers or desktop machines whatsoever. Our filtering servers will also act as backup severs for you domain, should your mail server go offline for any reason all mail is stored on our server. Once your server becomes available again all the stored mail is simply passed along to it as normal.

How effective is it?
Using a combination of spam identification techniques such as Bayesian statistical analysis, heuristic testing and comparing the originating server and sender to a series of lists containing the addresses of known spammers and compromised networks. Using these techniques we are able to effectively filter 96% of all spam messages and 99.5% of virus infected messages. The systems requires no training and the client will see the difference as soon as the changes made to their domain records take full effect.

Pricing
All clients are given 30 days to trial the service free of charge if the service in someone fails to live up to out clients expectations they are free to cancel the service without incurring any charge. After trial period a client is charged monthly in advance with the service priced on the amount of email accounts a client has in their domain, companies with more than 100 accounts are quoted individually.
